Comrex will show gear on the exhibit floor of the upcoming 2012 International Consumer Electronics Show.
The manufacturer said it will be featured in the Verizon Wireless booth at the Las Vegas Convention Center. It will show the Access IP Audio Codec and LiveShot IP Video Codec, used to transmit audio and video over IP networks.
Comrex this year became a Verizon LTE Innovation Center participant. Verizon established that program to encourage collaborations and help advance its 4G LTE “ecosystem.” Comrex says it has been working with Verizon in the development of 4G LTE for professional broadcast applications.
In a release, Technical Director Tom Hartnett of Comrex said the relationship with the 4G network provider allows the company direct contact not only with Verizon but also with modem device manufacturers for easier integration.
