Following the announcement of a merger agreement between Sirius and XM, covered in depth here earlier this week in The Leslie Report, one group states that it is ready to fight for consumer rights.

The Consumer Coalition for Competition in Satellite Radio “is ready to oppose the merger and fight for consumer choice and the public interest.” RW reported here not long ago on the group’s formation.

Founder Chris Reale said in a statement that a monopoly would be able to raise prices and reduce programming diversity.
