Contest Winner Chosen for On-Air Position

And the winner is … Postmidnight.
WNEW(FM), now known as 102.7 Blink in New York, has chosen Don “Postmidnight” Leake for its on-air staff.
He was chosen from among thousands in a high-profile promotion. He will hit the airwaves over the next several weeks and round out the late night on-air roster.
Leake was the first finalist to audition live with Blink afternoon hosts Alison Steward and Tim Virgin on the “Alison & The Virgin” show prior to the July 4 holiday weekend. Each audition was posted to the Blink Web site and listeners were allowed to vote for their choice for the next Blink host.
Apart from dabbling on-air at his college radio station, Leake has had no formal broadcasting experience. From Rahway, N.J., he is a New York City artist, movie buff and spoken-word artist.
