Continental Adjusts Staff to Target Digital Radio Market

Continental Electronics says digital radio is “taking the country by storm,” so it has made staff appointments to target that market.
It named Matthew Straeb director of business development. Don Spragg was named engineering product manager. Michael Troje assumes the title of broadcast sales manager from Bret Brewer, who will continue as regional sales manager.
Troje also will continue to serve as vendor sales manager. Brewer will continue to work with customers in an eight-state regional territory.
Straeb will be responsible for marketing and sales of new digital radio transmitters in the United States. He began with the company as an electrical design engineer and has worked in marketing and product management for da Vinci Systems and in management at Orad.
Spragg, whose arrival at Continental was reported by RW Online in April, is responsible for product line strategy, including new product development program management for the implementation of DRM and IBOC. He has worked at Harris, Crown and HCJB.
President/CEO John Uvodich made the announcement.
