Cork Campus Radio Adopts Axia

iQ consoles used in main studio refit

CCR, the campus radio station at University College Cork in Ireland, has refit its main on-air studio with an Axia Audio system.

The installation was handled by Total Broadcast Consultants, the Axia representative in Ireland. Included in the refit were Axia iQ mixing consoles with QOR.32 integrated console engines.

The iQ is a four-bus stereo mixer that can expand from eight faders to up to 24 through the use of accessory frames. The QOR.32 console engine features four microphone-level inputs, 16 analog inputs and eight analog outputs, as well as two AES/EBU digital I/O, eight GPIO logic ports and six 100BASE-T and two Gigabit Ethernet ports.
