Cox Radio Simulcasts WOKV in Jacksonville

Cox Radio Jacksonville is simulcasting WOKV(AM) programming on 690 kHz and 106.5 MHz.
The broadcaster said it is the first AM to simulcast on the FM band in Florida.
Cox Radio also has completed its acquisition of WBGB(FM) in the market for approximately $7.7 million.
Executives for Cox there said the simulcast and acquisition will allow Cox to expand its reach in the market.
The company has six stations in the city.
