Amid calls to hold off selecting a new chief executive, the Corporation for Public Broadcasting is waiting until today (Wednesday), the Los Angeles Times reports, after originally planning the vote earlier this week.
Twenty-one members of the House and now 16 senators are questioning the leadership of CPB Board Chair Kenneth Thomlinson and the appropriateness of CPB installing a partisan Republican as its head. Some lawmakers, such as Sen. Frank Lautenberg, D-N.J., are calling for Thomlinson’s resignation.
