CPB Refines Ethics Policy

CPB Refines Ethics Policy

The board of directors for the Corporation for Public Broadcasting has refined its ethics policy. The point is to provide clearer guidance and disclosure requirements for its grant-making work for public radio and TV stations. “At a time when corporate America is evaluating its policies and internal processes, the revisions enacted today provide staff and directors with additional guidance on how to avoid conflicts of interest or the appearance of conflicts in their business conduct,” stated CPB.
CPB’s code of ethics has been in place since 1988. The refinements enacted were the result of a senior management review begun earlier this year.
