The Corporation for Public Broadcasting wants to help develop more non-commercial programming to appeal to African-American listeners, noting on its Web site that, “While the public radio system serves an increasing number of African-Americans, listening to public radio lags among this group as compared to other demographic groups.”
To achieve that, CPB is looking for an African-American market research firm to conduct quantitative research to help develop a plan for programming to appeal to an African-American audience and increase listening to public radio among this demographic.
