Cridland Steps Down from RadioDNS Board

Coinchon will take over from ‘radio futurologist’

James Cridland The steering board of RadioDNS has a new secretary. Former secretary and Managing Director at Media UK James Cridland’s position will now be filled by Mathias Coinchon of the European Broadcasters Union.

“As a co-founder, I have worked for the organization since the start, but my increasing business commitments made it increasingly difficult to give enough time to the RadioDNS project. I therefore decided not to seek election as Secretary this year,” Cridland said.

Cridland says he will continue his work to promote radio, organizing the annual nextrad.io radio conference and also serving on the advisory committee for other conferences. He is also a trustee for the Radio Academy. A self-proclaimed “radio futurologist,” Cridland speaks about the medium’s future at conferences worldwide. He is currently studying radio listening on smart phones.
