CRN International, which specializes in radio marketing solutions, has added to its marketing and sales teams.
CRN has named Jim Alkon as marketing director. He joins CRN following various marketing endeavors. Alkon started his career in b-to-b publishing and most recently served as managing director of Meetings and Media, his own consulting business.
Robert O’Mara has also been promoted to managing director, strategy and business development, and CRN has added two sales managers who will report to O’Mara.
O’Mara, who has been with CRN for 13 years, will oversee sales operations. Prior to his promotion, O’Mara had served as a member of the CRN sales team, focusing on New York metropolitan accounts.
Additionally, CRN named Amanda Alvarez and Maureen Conlin as associate directors of strategy and business development. Both have prior experience at CRN and with radio marketing, and they will divide their time between CRN headquarters in New Haven, Conn., and at the New York City offices.
“We will continue to be part of the conversation in social media, on our recently relaunched website and in tutorial and perspective pieces on how understanding a client’s very specific business objectives is the first step to developing the right customized marketing campaign,” said CRN President and Founder Barry Berman.
