Creative Studio Solutions hopes engineers will call them when a station’s wiring is a mess. Creative is offering what it calls “documentation overhauls.”
The Colorado-based company will send a small team of engineers to a radio facility and “will trace, re-label and document every wire, connection and piece of equipment.”
The info will be entered into studio documentation software; the client gets a hard copy and CD version of their system infrastructure, as it exists, and recommendations for improvement.
CEO and Chief Engineer Andrew Rosenberg said much of the industry’s documentation is outdated.
“When an engineer first signs on with a station, it takes them forever to figure out how the previous engineer did things. This can be both frustrating and time-consuming.”
