Cumulus Announces New Indy VP/Market Manager

Also names WRBO program director

Cumulus Media has named Chuck Fredrick as vice president and market manager for the Indianapolis cluster, leading three radio stations, WFMS(FM), WJJK(FM) and WYRG(FM). Also, the broadcast tapped Lou Bennett as program director for Memphis’ WRBO(FM).

Frederick most recently was market president and regional president for iHeartMedia’s Cincinnati radio stations; he had worked for iHeart for 18 years. Prior to that, he was director of sales for Jacor Communications’ Cincinnati radio stations and also worked for Citicasters as local sales manager and general sales manager for Cincinnati.

Bennett has specialized in urban-formatted radio programming for 20 years and an additional 10 years in radio. Prior to Cumulus, Bennett was director of operations/PD/brand manager for Elite Radio Group in Natchitoches, La. He also had an earlier stint as PD for Cumulus Media Wilmington, N.C., stations WMNX(FM) and WKXS(FM).

Cumulus Media combines local programming with nationally syndicated brands to deliver content through its 441 owned-and-operated stations broadcasting in 90 U.S. media markets, approximately 8,000 broadcast radio stations affiliated with its Westwood One network and digital channels.
