Cumulus Media has tapped Scotty Bastable to serve as vice president/director of sales for its San Francisco radio station group and named Jack Swanson as program director of KGO(AM) and KSFO(AM).
Bastable’s appointment is effective Nov. 15. He was previously agency and corporate development manager for CBS 360, also in the Bay Area. Prior to that, he was general sales manager for Entercom San Francisco’s KOIT, and earlier was director of sales for Clear Channel San Francisco.
Swanson led programming at KGO and KSFO from 1994 until 2011, so the position is a homecoming of sorts for him. He was most recently director of news and programming for KCBS San Francisco. Before that, Swanson was a general manager and major market news anchor.
Cumulus Media combines local programming with nationally syndicated brands to deliver content through its 441 owned-and-operated stations, approximately 8,000 broadcast radio stations affiliated with its Westwood One network and numerous digital channels.
