Cumulus Media announced a series of programming appointments to support its national content efforts.
Randall Bloomquist has been named corporate program director for news/talk.
He succeeds Minneapolis-based Jim Mahanay, who’ll now focus on programming at the company’s sports stations.
Derek Madden and Scott Jameson are each promoted to corporate program director for rock, in addition to their local programming responsibilities. Madden is in Los Angeles and Jameson is in Minneapolis.
Cumulus EVP/co-COO John Dickey said the company’s success depends on executing effectively across programming at the local and national levels, which is why he’s pleased about the new appointments “that will help Cumulus continue building on our commitment to the very best content.”
