Cumulus Media is pulling a programming switcheroo in Atlanta and DC.
The broadcaster has named Louie Diaz, current program director of WRQX(FM) in Washington, to operations manager of Cumulus Media-Atlanta and PD of WWWQ(FM) in that same cluster. Current Cumulus Atlanta Ops Manager and WWWQ PD Rob Roberts will then head to Washington to assume the position of WRQX PD as well as the newly created role of vice president, hot AC at the corporate level.

“We’re fortunate to be able to tap the great brains inside of Cumulus programming and apply the theory of ‘Highest and Best Use’ to their skills and match them with where they can be most effective,” said Cumulus Media and Westwood One Senior Vice President, Content & Programming Mike McVay.
Roberts had been with WWWQ for a decade before the change and has worked with McVay for about twice that long, according to the release.
