Cumulus Names Pensacola Production Director

San Francisco’s KGO(AM)’s new news director is Angela Corral

Cory Willis

Cumulus Media says S. Cory Willis has been named production director for the five-station Cumulus Pensacola, Fla., cluster. Also, the company has promoted Angela Corral to news director for San Francisco news-talk radio station KGO(AM).

“After my latest stint in the Caribbean, I knew that the United States was where I wanted to be for good,” said Willis. “The opportunity to come to Pensacola and join the Cumulus team has been a dream come true. I have a great crew, great facilities and the chance to crank out some amazing production.”

Willis’ 18-year radio career has included stops in: Wilmington, N.C.; St. Thomas, Virgin Islands; Grand Cayman Island; and Charleston, W.Va.

Angela Corral

Angela Corral has held virtually every position in the newsroom in her 17 years in Bay Area news radio. She started her news career in 1998 as a production assistant at KCBS, where she became a producer, an editor, a writer and an assignment editor. Corral joined KGO as assignment editor in October 2013.

“Angela’s leadership in the newsroom and plan to advance KGO’s news delivery has afforded her this well-deserved promotion. We look forward to her guiding KGO to new heights,” said Vice President and Market Manager for Cumulus San Francisco Justin Wittmayer.

Cumulus provides exclusive content that is fully distributed through approximately 460 owned-and-operated stations in 90 U.S. media markets, more than 8,500 broadcast radio affiliates and numerous digital channels.
