Cumulus Media has promoted three executives to newly-created EVP posts, and also named a marketing director and several program directors.
Senior Vice President of Content and Programming Mike McVay has been upped to executive vice president of content and programming.
Senior Vice Presidents of Operations Dave Milner and Bob Walker have both been named executive vice president of content and of operations.
John Shomby
The company also tapped Rebecca Kaplan to fill the newly created position of marketing director for its seven Dallas radio stations. She retains her role as PD of KSCS(FM) and KPLX(FM).
Mike Bell
Cumulus Media has promoted John Shomby to program director of WKDF(FM) in Nashville; in addition to the NASH director of programming position he has held with Cumulus Media for the past year and half. Charlie Cook continues as VP/Country for Cumulus Media as well as the VP of operations for Cumulus Media-Nashville with continued oversight of WKDF, and as the PD for WSM(FM).
Also, Mike “Big Mike” Bell will serve as program director for WEAS(FM). Bell moves to the mainstream urban station from Cumulus Media-Florence, S.C., where he has been program director for WYNN(FM).
