Cumulus Names VP/Market Manager for Pensacola

Also taps new ops manager for Memphis and PD for WNNF in Cincinnati

Cumulus Media has appointed Jackie Rinker as VP and market manager for its five radio stations in Pensacola, Fla. The company also named Danni Bruns to the newly created position of operations manager for Cumulus Media Memphis’ four-station cluster and appointed Chris Clare as program director for WNNF(FM) in Cincinnati.

Rinker was previously market president for iHeartMedia in Panama City and Tallahassee, Fla., and prior to that, was director of sales/national sales manager for iHeartMedia in Birmingham and Tuscaloosa, Ala. She has also held positions as station manager and director of sales for Treasure & Space Coast Radio and was GSM for stations in markets including New Haven, Conn., and Orlando, Fla.

Danni Bruns

Cumulus Media operates Pensacola radio stations WRRX(FM), WXBM(FM), WJTQ(FM), WMEZ(FM) and WCOA(AM).

In her new role, Bruns will oversee operations for WGKX(FM), WXMX(FM), WRBO(FM) and WKIM(FM). She will continue to serve as programing director for WXMX and will also continue to co-host “Danni and The Jar” with on-air partner Chris Jarman.

Bruns began her radio career as an intern for a local station, then went on to co-host the morning show at WTXT(FM) in Tuscaloosa, Ala., followed by time on-air at WHBQ(FM) in Memphis. She joined WXMX in 2007 and has continued to develop her programming and on-air skills as PD.

Chris Clare

Chris Clare leaves WTHT(FM) in Portland, Maine, where he was PD, for his second stop in Cincinnati, previously on-air at WFTK(FM). He’s also programmed and worked at stations in markets including Indianapolis, Denver, New Orleans and Pensacola.
