Cumulus Media has signed a multiyear contract renewal with Westwood One Chief Operating Officer Charles Steinhauer.
Under the new agreement, Steinhauer will continue to oversee the management of Westwood One’s day-to-day operations, including programming, technology, distribution, sports, marketing, affiliate services, research, compliance and strategy, and will report directly to Cumulus CEO Lew Dickey.
Steinhauer was previously president of operations for Dial Global, before his promotion last June to COO for the company. Prior to that, he served as senior vice president of research and ops for Dial Global. Cumulus acquired Dial Global Inc. in December of last year, adding it to its Westwood One radio content and services operation.
Steinhauer also serves as a director on the board of the Media Ratings Council and was chair of the Network Radio Research Council. He is also an ARF Ambassador, a member of the RAB Council, and serves on the Nielsen Advisory Board.
