Cumulus/Rdio Partnership Begins

Promotional spots this week serve as preview for next year’s content collaboration

Earlier in 2013, Cumulus and Rdio announced a “content, promotion and advertising” partnership. This week, both companies began to set the wheels of that partnership in motion with a slew of promotional spots on Cumulus stations, as well as product pages with Rdio, according to a release.

Starting in early 2014, Rdio’s on-demand Internet music service will air on more than 70 Cumulus stations, including all 60 country-format stations. Also, Rdio’s Internet service will begin introducing curated programming featuring Cumulus on-air hosts, according to the release.
