CW to Air iHeartRadio Festival

Music festival now has a television deal

The CW television network exclusively will air select performances from the second iHeartRadio Music Festival. It will not be a live broadcast but air the week after the festival on Oct. 1, starting at 8 p.m.

President of Clear Channel Entertainment Enterprises John Sykes called CW the festival’s TV broadcast partner.

The CW’s programming is aimed at the 18–34 market. The iHeartRadio Music Festival program is scheduled to start the network’s fall program campaign.

Clear Channel’s iHeartRadio Music Festival will be Sept. 21–22 in Las Vegas and has a scheduled performer list that includes Aerosmith, Shakira, Lil Wayne, Miranda Lambert, Linkin Park, Rihanna, Green Day, Taylor Swift, Enrique Iglesias and a wide range of other acts.
