Steve Czaban, doing mornings for Yahoo Sports Radio and afternoons for Washington’s WTEM(AM/FM), an ESPN affiliate, is celebrating 25 years in the business.
He also contributes to “The Bob and Brian Show,” WHQG(FM) in Milwaukee for a total of 7.5 hours on the air every weekday. He also has a few other things going on, so he keeps busy.
Czaban started in sports, play-by-play and talk at KTMS(AM) in Santa Barbara, Calif. Ironically, his next stop was the old WTEM (AM-only then) in Washington. He’s had a few more stops since.
He says, “Twenty five years presiding over some of the dumbest arguments in sports has flown by in a blink … I guess that’s what happens when you are just trying to have fun with listeners every day on the radio.”
He’s also grateful, “I am thankful to Yahoo Sports Radio and WTEM for letting me do the kind of radio that is fun and engaging, and doesn’t take itself or the sports we cover, too seriously.”
