The AM Directional Antenna Coalition has now filed its paperwork with the FCC, trying to get the commission moving toward allowing computer modeling as a means of verifying AM directional antenna performance.

Among the broadcast organizations making up the coalition and named in the request are Beasley, Bonneville, Buckley, CBS, Citadel, Clear Channel, Cox, Crawford, Cumulus, Entercom, Entravision, Family Stations, Journal, Lincoln Financial, Morris, Multicultural, Peak, Regent and Salem. About a dozen leading consulting engineers also participated.

The group proposes revisions to Section 73.151.
