Thanks to a boost in transmission power, listeners in downtown Stockholm can better tune in digital radio channels, particularly indoors.
Transmission-services provider Teracom has upgraded the DAB transmitters at the Kaknästornet TV tower in Stockholm and the DN-Skrapan office building in Marieberg.
Previously both sites hosted 300 W transmitters. The Kaknästornet site was upgraded to 1.2 kW, while the DN-Skrapan was boosted to 600 W.
In the Greater Stockholm region, DAB transmissions also emit from transmitters in Nackamasten, Hammarbytornet, Södertälje, Märsta, Uppsala and Enköping.
