DAB Tool Is Multi-Format

RadioScape, based in the U.K., is promoting a new monitoring receiver for Eureka-147 Band III and L-Band DAB, Digital Multimedia Broadcast (DMB) and Enhanced Packet Mode multimedia (DAB-IP).
It says the unit is suitable for low-cost network monitoring and analysis.
“Until now, such a system would have consisted of several large and expensive units, which are unwieldy when doing field trials,” it stated.
The new receiver comprises a laptop and a second unit that contains a DAB/DMB/DAB-IP receiver and a field strength monitor.
RadioScape recently began shipping its first DRM/DAB modules, and it says multi-standard consumer receivers will reach retailers this year.
