Data Deal: BIAfn Buys Dataworld’s Assets

Dataworld is now part of former competitor BIA Financial Network, located across the Potomac River.
BIA has acquired the assets of the Bethesda, Md.-based company, which becomes a division of BIAfn, based in Chantilly, Va. Both are suburbs of Washington.
A BIA spokeswoman declined to provide the cost of the deal.
Dataworld products include its Flag Service, technical engineering studies and mapping services.
