Dave Van Dyke, who has won headlines recently for research done by his company Bridge Ratings, has joined ABC Radio Networks.

He’ll oversee news/talk relations and be based in Dallas, reporting to TJ Lambert.

ABC said Van Dyke “is recognized for his expertise in rebuilding stations, taking challenged radio operations and turning them into high cash-flowing corporate contributors.”

He is former VP/SGM of KCBS(FM) in Los Angeles. Experience includes tenures at WODS(FM) in Boston and KODJ/Los Angeles. He co-created, developed and engineered the “All Rock & Roll Oldies” radio format, known as “Classic Hits,” originated on KCBS(FM) in 1993, later called the Arrow format. He founded Radio Mentor, a broadcast management consulting company, as well as mobile media research company Bridge Ratings, which announced earlier this month it will now be acting as a “private label” research supplier for only one client.
