D.A.V.I.D. Acquired by Silex Media

Silex acquired all D.A.V.I.D. shares. The organizations will operate in parallel. “Silex Media CEO Stephan Schindler, in close cooperation with D.A.V.I.D. CEO Gerhard Möller, will begin to architect the two operations immediately,” according to the announcement.

Silex sells IT-based solutions, systems integration and workflow products for broadcasters and media companies that are moving from tape-based to digital workflows or from radio and television into Internet and telecom. The companies had worked together on projects for German public-service broadcasters.

Silex Media is a subsidiary of SGI Japan, whose shareholders include NEC, SGI, Sony and Canon Marketing. D.A.V.I.D. was formed in 1991 and was privately held.
