D.A.V.I.D. Reorganizes to Emphasize R&D

D.A.V.I.D. GmbH has made several management changes that the company claims will bolster its position in the radio, video and mobile media sectors.

Michael Wittmann, co-founder of D.A.V.I.D. and chief technology office for the company, will direct long-term product development strategies. Henri Volk has joined D.A.V.I.D. as director of research and development and has been added to the management team.

In addition, Gerhard Möller has retired from his position as CEO.

“IBC has been a tremendous success for both of our companies,” said Stephan K. Schindler, Silex Media CEO and managing director of DAVID. “The market is eager to work with partners who demonstrate innovation in key areas like content creation and distribution. I’m delighted that Michael Wittmann will be focused on driving our creative efforts and I’m impressed by Henri Volk’s track record for delivering mission critical products.”

This new arrangement will provide D.A.V.I.D.’s strategic accounts with the technological innovations that they rely upon with more regular product releases and a reduction to the time new services become available.

“Gerhard Möller, in all his years of service to D.A.V.I.D., has been an important voice for our customers,” said Schindler. “We’re looking for the best ways to keep his immense talent close to the company. As we look to the future, I will seek a new leader to further expand D.A.V.I.D. as a technology company.”
