Speculation follows the news this week that former radio executive James de Castro has left AOL-Time Warner after only seven months.
He told The Wall Street Journal he left his position as programming chief for America Online because “I want to run a company.” Colleagues told the WSJ de Castro was disappointed he wasn’t chosen to head America Online.
In radio, de Castro was vice chairman of AMFM Inc. He left after Clear Channel agreed to acquire AMFM in 2000.
