Deezer Picks Murphy

She will serve as chief marketing officer

Music streamer Deezer has chosen a new chief marketing officer. Beth Murphy will be focused on leading Deezer’s global brand, along with product marketing, product management, acquisition, engagement and customer service efforts for the U.S. and global verticals.

Murphy previously worked at Zinio, where she was responsible for marketing, business development and product management for the app. She has also held product and marketing leadership roles at Travelocity, Yahoo, Visa, Intuit, Clorox, Digg and Stitcher.

In her 20+-year career, Murphy has held executive roles managing marketing and more recently leading disruptive mobile first efforts with top rated apps like Yahoo!, Zinio, Travelocity and Stitcher. Her appointment coincides with the launch of Deezer Elite, the acquisition of Stitcher, and bringing U.S. music fans the Deezer service through Sonos and Bose products for the first time this fall.
