DG Systems Q1 Revenues Rise

DG Systems Inc. stated consolidated revenues for the quarter grew to $18.9 million from $3.1 million in the same period last year.
Company officials credit the revenue gains to what they say is a growing acceptance in the broadcasting and advertising industries of DG’s and StarGuide’s digital management and delivery solutions. DG and StarGuide merged at the beginning of the year.
Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) for the first quarter of 2001 increased to $2.8 million compared to a negative EBITDA of $1 million in the same quarter in 2000. The growth reflects revenue gains and cost efficiencies achieved by the merger.
