The latest addition to Digidesign’s Mbox 2 family may be tiny, but it’s ready to hit the road.
The pocket-sized Mbox 2 Micro is a Pro Tools LE system that gives Pro Tools users a portable sequencing, editing and mixing solution.
The size of a typical USB flash drive, Mbox 2 Micro combines audio output/monitoring capabilities with Pro Tools LE software, so Pro Tools users can edit and mix live or studio-recorded sessions created on Pro Tools|HD, Pro Tools LE or Pro Tools M-Powered systems; or create loop-based and virtual instrument-driven tracks in Pro Tools LE.
Mbox 2 Micro has an anodized aluminum case for portability. A 1/8-inch stereo output jack supports up to 24-bit/48 kHz audio playback; a volume wheel eases headphone adjustments.
It also comes with Pro Tools LE software, a collection of Bomb Factory and DigiRack effects plug-ins; and Digidesign’s Xpand! sample-playback/synthesis workstation.
