Digigram has formed Digigram Europe, a business unit designed to provide sales and customer support for both Digigram and Aztec Radiomedia products in Europe, Africa and the Middle East.
The operation will be headquartered in Strasbourg, France with an office in Montbonnot, France. Patrick Piquet, managing director, will lead Digigram Europe and will offer developers, systems integrators and end-users a single point of contact.
Piquet joined Aztec Radiomedia in July 2000. He holds a degree in mechanical engineering and was sales director of the Embedded Computing and Supply Chain Division at Cap Gemini-Ernst & Young for two years. Before that Piquet was a department director at Digital Equipment France.
The majority of the team members of Digigram Europe were previously part of either Digigram or Aztec Radiomedia staffs. However, the company will make additional hires to address growing markets.
