Digigram said it has provided more than 100 Iqoya*Link IP audio codecs to Broadcast Electronics as part of a U.S. Army contract to build portable transmitter systems.
Called Radio in a Box, the Afghanistan-destined project places a BE 1 kW transmitter, antenna, telescopic mast, mixer, processor and Iqoya*Link into a rugged road case for deployment.
In the field the Iqoya*Link allows for downlinking of programming (and control data) via satellite from a centralized studio and adding uplinking of additional data. The Iqoya*Link is designed for STL duty.
