Digigram Standard for DRS

Schweizer Radio DRS has adopted the Digigram UAX220-Mic USB audio interface as its standard for mobile computing applications that involve recording.

Schweizer Radio DRS, the Swiss German-language service within public-service broadcaster SRG SSR idée suisse, has adopted the Digigram UAX220-Mic USB audio interface as its standard for mobile computing applications that involve recording.

According to Jeremy Groves, who is responsible for testing and validating all audio equipment used at Schweizer Radio DRS, the UAX220-Mic solves a lot of problems.

“The first thing to say is that it is extremely easy to use,” said Groves. “With just one device and one USB connection, you can connect two microphones and a set of headphones direct to the computer and start recording straight away without having to install any drivers. It is a true plug-and-play device in every sense.”

Groves said that the UAX220-Mic was “definitely the best product for the job” that he had found. “It is now on our in-house list of standard equipment and I anticipate we will have over 50 devices before the end of the year.”
