A new soundcard from Digigram transmits and receives up to 16 EtherSound channels and connects computer-based audio applications to a 100 Mbps EtherSound network via a single CAT5 cable.
Digigram designed the LX1616ES PCI network soundcard, which has DirectSound and ASIO drivers, as an entry-level solution for direct-to-disk applications that may not require 64 channels but still do require maximum flexibility to play and/or record ES-100 audio channels.
Thanks to firmware updates, it is possible to upgrade the LX1616ES on the fly from 16×16 to 32×32, 48×48 and 64×64 channels.
