Digital Radio Is Focus of Connecticut Session

Radio World Editor Paul McLane will moderate a panel about the digital radio transition during the upcoming convention of the Connecticut Broadcasters Association.
The panel includes Stephen Wallace, broadcast business manager for Ibiquity Digital Corp.; Tom Ray, corporate director of engineering for WOR in New York, the first high-power AM station to install and operate IBOC; and Chuck Dube, chief engineer for WFCR(FM) Radio Amherst.
The convention takes place Oct. 14 at the Hartford Marriott at Farmington. Other sessions include radio sales, regulation, ABIP inspections, emergency warnings and job opportunities. Vendors scheduled to exhibit include Broadcast Electronics, Scott Studios and the Vintage Radio &TV Museum of Connecticut.
