The winds of change hit Radio Disney once again as the programmer adds a country music format, Radio Disney Country.
The programming, not surprisingly, will be aimed at families.
Vice President of Programming and General Manager for Radio Disney Phil Guerini said, “Country music continues to grow in popularity among tweens and teens. As a trusted name in family entertainment, Radio Disney is delighted to introduce a new music outlet dedicated to country music and expand upon the engaging content we successfully deliver through Radio Disney’s multi-platform network.”
The launch is expected to be in November and designed to coincide with the Country Music Association Awards. According to a release, the format will be streamed on the Radio Disney app and third-party digital platforms, along with multiplatform content such as music videos, in-studio programming and performances.
