ABC News anchor Sam Donaldson will interview FCC Chairman Michael Powell for the FCC Chairman’s Breakfast, April 9 at NAB2002 in Las Vegas. Both participated in this format at NAB 2001.
In addition to his normal duties as FCC Chairman, Powell is responsible for overseeing all National Security Emergency Preparedness functions for the Commission. He previously served as the Chief of Staff of the Antitrust Division in the U.S. Department of Justice.
Donaldson is co-anchor on the Sunday political program This Week with Sam
Donaldson & Cokie Roberts. Following the events of Sept. 11, Donaldson returned to radio on a regular basis as host of Sam Donaldson Live In America, a daily two-hour radio broadcast. The program features newsmaker interviews, discussion of recent events and listener call-in segments. Beginning his broadcast career at KRLD(AM), Dallas in 1959, he soon joined WTOP(AM), Washington prior to joining ABC in 1967.
NAB2002 is set for April 6 to 11 in Las Vegas (exhibits open April 8).
