DotClick Signs Deal with Arista

DotClick Corp. plans to provide privately branded online music sites to Arista Records.’
Arista rap and hop-hop groups Outkast, Koffee Brown, Run DMC and From Zero will be the first in a series of upcoming DotClick/Arista launches.
By downloading free plug-in software that will be available on the Arista site, fans will be able to link to the artists’ network to instantly message other fans, track concerts and performances, purchase CDs and receive targeted music recommendations.
Terms of the DotClick agreement with Arista Records were not disclosed.
Boston-based DotClick is an online marketing, research and reporting service that connects the music industry to its audiences via a consumer-controlled application, such as the Arista site plug-in.
DotClick stated that its services help radio stations and record labels cost-effectively reach, understand and increase their online audiences through the one-to-one relationships with music fans its services provide, in addition to the reporting and database-building services.
