Ampegon, Nautel and NXP among DRM members set to attend

As Digital Radio Mondiale expands throughout India, the DRM Consortium has announced that it will once again take part in the International Broadcasting and Engineering Society conference and exhibition on terrestrial and satellite broadcasting. The conference will take place in New Delhi.

Among DRM’s presentations will be the chance to experience DRM sound at the Nautel/Commcon stand. There will also be All India Radio services demonstrated on fixed and mobile receivers.

DRM members that will attend the conference include Ampegon, Communication Systems Inc., Fraunhofer IIS, Nautel, NXP and RFmondial.

“DRM transmissions will offer the majority of the Indian population improved audio quality similar to FM but across much wider areas, multilingual text news, improved service reliability, diversified content and many additional features,” said Ruxandra Obreja, DRM Consortium Chairman. “We are proud to support the BES event and this year our presentations and demonstrations will practically prove the progress made in India while we will learn from our Indian colleagues how the media landscape of India is changing.”

The International BES Conference will take place Feb. 4–6.
