dScopes Help Perfect Speakers

The two Prism Sound dScope Series III systems acquired by Martin Sound provide a comprehensive range of analog and digital electronic analysis tools including new enhancements to acoustic measurement capabilities.

Loudspeaker manufacturer Martin Audio is using audio analyzers from Cambridge, England-based Prism Sound to develop new products and test existing products during production.

The two Prism Sound dScope Series III systems acquired by Martin Sound provide a comprehensive range of analog and digital electronic analysis tools including new enhancements to acoustic measurement capabilities.

“Currently, we are using our dScope Series III to optimize noise and distortion levels, as well as the frequency response of our mixed signal designs. We have found it especially useful for optimizing the analog circuitry around A-to-D and D-to-A converters,” said Francis Prime, electronics design engineer at Martin Audio.

According to Prime, R&D staff at Martin Audio are also using the dScope Series III as a flexible analog and digital signal generator, particularly as a source for power testing amplifiers and for product EMC pre-compliance testing.
