Mark Durenberger joins Victory Sports as vice president of technical operations. He will be in charge of building the network’s infrastructure and finding new media opportunities. He was already consulting to the company.
Durenberger is former general manager of the CBS satellite-teleport operations in Minneapolis and a member of the Minnesota Broadcasters/Pavek Museum Broadcasting Hall of Fame. He also is a contributor to Radio World newspaper.
First task: developing the technology for distribution and setting up vendor arrangements for Victory Sports One, a regional network that begins operations this year. It is an affiliate of Twins Sports Inc., owners of the Minnesota Twins Baseball Club, and will carry Twins games.
