Eagles, Clippers Announce Radio Packages

No big changes but the Eagles get an HD Radio station

The Philadelphia Eagles have renewed their radio broadcast package with CBS Radio’s sportster WIP(FM), Philadelphia.

Besides covering preseason, season and any post-season games, new elements are being added. A dedicated year-round 24/7 HD Radio will be added. CBS Radio Philly stations have had the Eagles for 23 straight years. An announcement also noted that game announcer Merrill Reese is currently the longest tenured NFL team broadcaster.

Eagles President Don Smolenski said, “We are excited to continue our long-time partnership with CBS Radio and SportsRadio 94WIP.”

On the opposite coast, KFWB(AM) and the Los Angeles Clippers announced a renewal to their broadcast package. KFWB/The Beast 980 will continue with its Clippers broadcast team, Brian Sieman, Ralph Lawler and Michael Smith along with pregame programming with George Wrighster and Brett Winterble. Isaac Lowenkron will continue to handle various host duties.

Clippers President of Business Operations Gillian Zucker said, “The Beast 980 has been providing exceptional coverage of the Clippers on and off the court … We are proud to continue this relationship with L.A.’s new home for sports, establishing a long-term destination for Clippers basketball on the radio.”
