Eastern Airwaves Grabs CPs for Translators

MSG brokers sales in Colorado and Texas

Eastern Airwaves continues to collect FM translators in North Carolina. The latest is W267AM, formerly assigned to Mocksville, N.C. The seller was Tri-Ad Family Network and the listed price is $150,000. W267AM has a construction permit for a power increase to 250 W and a change of Principal Community Served designation to Winston-Salem, N.C.

Eastern Airwaves also recently paid $165,000 to Mary Medicus for a CP for FM translator W234BY, Charlotte, N.C. Eastern Airwaves is an affiliate of Curtis Media. Both sales were brokered by Bob Heymann, of MSG’s Chicago office.

In Rock Creek Park, Colo., Calvary Chapel Aurora purchased KXCL(FM) for $400,000 form United States CP. Jody McCoy of the MSG Colorado Springs, Colo., office brokered the deal.

In the Dallas suburb of Richardson, Texas, Claro Communications has bought KKLF(AM) from Joule Broadcasting, which held the station in trust for Cumulus Media. The price was listed as $1,250,000. Bill Whitley of Media Services Group’s Dallas office was the broker.
