Ecreso Equips New Moroccan FMs

French transmitter technology company Ecreso recently announced sales to three top private Moroccan FM stations.

French transmitter technology company Ecreso recently announced sales to three top private Moroccan FM stations.

The company, part of the Audemat-Aztec group, sold a total of 20 FM systems with 1, 2 and 3 kW outputs to Radio Aswat, a national chain, and to two regional stations, MFM and Hit Radio.

The orders followed on from the decision by the Moroccan regulator, Haute Autorité de la Communication Audiovisuelle (HACA), to make new frequencies available.

“Ecreso transmitters were chosen because of their price, redundancy and reliability,” said Jean-Baptiste Roux, vice president of sales of Audemat-Aztec.

The new FM licensees installed the Ecreso transmitters across the country, in major cities including Rabat, Casablanca, Marrakech, Fès, Meknès and Tangier.
