Edward R. Murrow Award Winners Honored

The Radio Television Digital News Association awards were handed out to radio, television and online newsrooms

The Radio Television Digital News Association presented its national Edward R. Murrow Awards at its annual awards gala in New York on Monday. Numerous radio winners were among them.

Notably, ABC News Radio and ABC News (television) each picked up an Edward R. Murrow Award for overall excellence at the network level, for the third year in a row.

Minnesota Public Radio in St. Paul won the large radio market overall excellence award, while WDEL(AM/FM) in of Wilmington, Del., took home the small market radio overall excellence award.

Among highlights in specific categories, WITF(FM) in Harrisburg, Pa., had a double win in the small market radio division, for hard news and use of sound. In the large market radio division, WLRN(FM) in Miami, WBUR(FM) in Boston and WAMU(FM) in Washington all enjoyed double wins.
