Effort to Raise Indecency Fines Remains in Limbo

Although Congress has adjourned with much broadcast business undone, lawmakers plan to return to Washington for a lame duck session beginning Nov. 16. Left undone before legislators left to campaign in their home districts was the new indecency legislation to raise penalties to a $500,000 maximum, (from the current $27,500.)
